Eclipse – Creating New Projects From An Existing Template

It is quite easy to create a new Android project from an existing code-base or template. Select File> New> Project> Android Project From Existing Code and fill up the following form

Create Android Application From Existing Code

Eclipse will then create a new project which you will need to refactor to cater for name changes (if any). Here are some of the common places you may need to check for the need to refactor

  • Androidmanifest.xml
    • package
    • activities
    • etc
  • Codes
    • package
    • imports
